Johannes Mewes is CPO and one of the founders of FREE NOW (formerly known as mytaxi). He has been in service at FREE NOW for 10 years, being the company’s knowledge base and point of contact for all product related enquiries. Johannes substantially took over negotiations with key business cooperations in the early stage of the business as well as been responsible for the first national and international expansions of FREE NOW. As Chief Product Officer, his focus has been since 2012 on Product and Innovation, where he increased the signup conversion rate from 30% to over 90% and over the years build up a team of 150 professional Product Managers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Designers and UX Researchers to provide the customer with an innovative, local and reliable product, steadily looking to be the biggest, best and most loved mobility provider in Europe. Today FREE NOW has grown from a one driver and one passenger app to a product portfolio of over 30 products with an overall team size of 2.000 highly motivated and talented people. Rewarding his passionate work, he received the Apple App of the year Award and other product awards each year.
